FAITH-BASED SERVICE PROGRAM
A faith-based service program finding new expression
THE THRESHOLD
Enrollment in their traditional post-college year of service was declining. But rather than close, the program’s leaders sensed they still had something vital to offer their community.
HOW WE WALKED WITH THEM
We accompanied them through a process of discerning which parts of their identity were most essential to carry forward, and who else they might serve while staying true to their values. Then they went out into the community for many listening conversations, looking for the place where their gifts met real need.
WHAT CHANGED
A fresh, courageous expression of their work, still rooted in the gospel values that have animated them for 40 years, but evolved to meet the needs of this moment. They are now designing a new program for women rebuilding their lives after incarceration, offering the same gifts of accompaniment, vocational discernment, and supportive community.
“Clarity, indeed! Kathryn and Christine have faithfully accompanied our reimagination process with deep listening, steadfast guidance, and a realistic outlook. They have supported us in a way that we are now ripe for success as we launch a new iteration of a model that is grounded in our missional and foundational values.” — Executive Director, faith-based service program
